Tibetan crowd gathered on both sides of road to cheer for Indian army convoy for protecting the sovereignty of the nation against Chinese aggression in Ladakh. Amid the ongoing tensions with China, the Indian Armed Forces are on alert and battle-ready for any contingency from the hostile neighbour. However, a beautiful visual from Manali has surfaced in which people from the exiled Tibetan community residing in Manali were seen welcoming an Indian Army convoy.

In 1949, seeing that the Communists were gaining control of China, the Kashag expelled all Chinese connected with the Chinese government, over the protests of both the Kuomintang and the Communists. Both the Republic of China (ROC) and the People's Republic of China (PRC) have maintained China's claim to sovereignty over Tibet. Many people felt that Tibet should not be part of China because they were constantly under attack in different ways rather often.The Communist Chinese invasion in 1950 led to years of turmoil, that culminated in the complete overthrow of the Tibetan Government and the self-imposed exile of the Dalai Lama and 100,000 Tibetans in 1959.

His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, Tenzin Gyatso, the spiritual leader of Tibet. Tibetan Government and the self-imposed exile of the Dalai Lama and 100,000 Tibetans in 1959. After the invasion of Tibet by the Chinese government, His Holiness was forced to escape into exile. Since then he has been living in Dharamsala, northern India. So then India helped  Tibet by saving their leader Dalai Lama.

China's aggressive territorial claims on India, the deepening of the China-Pakistan alliance and a shift in China's position on Kashmir has led to a hardening of India's position on Tibet.

In heartwarming visuals coming in, Tibetans living in Himachal Pradesh’s capital Shimla were seen cheering the Indian army. The Indian soldiers who were headed to LAC were heartily welcomed by the Tibetan community members who greeted them with Indian flags, Tibetan flags, and white scarves. This comes at a time when India is engaged in a border row with China in eastern Ladakh. Young, women, monks, children of the Tibetan community gathered at Panthaghati on National Highway 5 near Shimla to boost the morale of the Indian army before heading towards the conflict zone between India and China border region.

Also Lobsang Sangay,  an Indian-born-American-Tibetan politician who is the Sikyong (President) of the Tibetan-government-in-exile said "When Tibet was independent, the Indian Army did not require a defence budget of 60 billion dollars, it was not necessary at all. So, once Tibet is demilitarised and declared a zone of peace, two largest populated countries in the world, India and China, will have permanent peace.”
